Abstract: This project aims to design an Information System for Classroom Booking Management at the Information Systems Study Program, Jambi University, to address challenges such as slow communication via WhatsApp groups and difficulties in monitoring classroom availability. The system employs the Design Thinking methodology (Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Testing) and features core functionalities, including Admin-driven account management, classroom booking, and empty room postings by Class Leaders, as well as accessible room availability information for Users (students). The interface was developed using Figma, incorporating pages such as registration, login, room search, posting creation, and account management. Usability testing with three testers demonstrated time efficiency and ease of use, with an average task completion time of ≤30 seconds. Recommendations were made to enhance the account management module with a search feature for improved efficiency. The system’s intuitive design prioritizes accessibility, enabling seamless navigation for all user roles. By digitizing the booking process, the project aims to reduce administrative errors, enhance transparency, and streamline coordination, ultimately supporting the academic workflow of students and faculty. This prototype serves as a foundational framework for future implementation and scalability across other departments.
